Circadian Biology and Ancestral Health
You can get the highest quality sleep by keeping your sleep cycles in tune with the rhythms of the universe (known as circadian rhythms).

As a Health Coach and Nurse Practitioner, my work is guided by the science of metabolic health, circadian biology, and ancestral wisdom.
Circadian biology is the study of how our internal body clock orchestrates nearly every process in the body—our sleep-wake cycles, metabolism, hormone balance, digestion, immune function, and even mood. These natural daily rhythms, known as circadian rhythms, are influenced by light and darkness, temperature, food timing, and activity. When we live out of sync with these cues—staying up late under artificial light, skipping morning sunlight, eating irregularly—our metabolism and mental health can suffer. Over time, this misalignment can contribute to fatigue, inflammation, mood disorders, and chronic illness.
Ancestral health invites us to remember how our bodies are designed to live and thrive. It draws on timeless principles from our evolutionary past: moving often, eating nutrient-dense whole foods, spending time in natural light, sleeping deeply in darkness, and staying connected to nature and community. These simple, essential patterns nourish our mitochondria, balance hormones, and calm the nervous system—supporting healing at the deepest level: physical, emotional, and spiritual.
Through this lens, I help clients restore their energy, resilience, and clarity by realigning with the rhythms our bodies were made for. When we live in harmony with nature’s cycles, we tap into the body’s innate intelligence—and begin to experience freedom from chronic symptoms, greater emotional balance, and a renewed sense of vitality.
